Conrad was raised in Coquitlam since he was 8 years old. Walton, Panorama, and Pinetree Way Elementary Schools, Hastings Junior Secondary (now Maple Creek Middle), and Pinetree Secondary School were just part of growing up in Coquitlam for him. He got a degree in Communication at Simon Fraser University and spent parts of a hockey season working inside hockey operations with the Vancouver Canucks while dreaming of a career in broadcasting. Yet, God had other ideas and showed him where true joy is. Conrad now strives to bring Christian love to those who do not yet know Jesus, while helping to support his family through employment with the Government of Canada. He also obtained a masters degree from the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary and College.
After meeting via a mutual friend in 2019, Conrad and Rachel got engaged and married in 2020 (all after the COVID-19 pandemic began!).
Rachel grew up on her family’s raspberry farm in Abbotsford. After a stint studying at Capernwray School in England, she returned home and obtained a degree in business administration from the University of the Fraser Valley. Currently, she works at the Burnaby School District as an administrative personnel. Previously, she served as manager of Human Resources at Power to Change Ministries. She believes in loving her neighbours intentionally and has grown to love the Coquitlam community!
